Biafra And The Events Of 1965 - 1970

How Yakubu Gowon Caused The Nigeria-Biafra War

Biafra and the events of 1965 to 1970
Biafra happened well over 46 years ago. But as we speak, it is still a “Vietnam” in the hearts and mind of many Nigerians as it has refused to DIE, even though the battlefield aspect ended in January of 1970.

The Biafra god – Ojukwu once lamented saying: the war was precipitated by Gowon’s insubordination, ambition and disregard for rule of law regarding seniority in the Nigerian Army. In counter-reaction Gowon most recently retorted that it was the inability of unwillingness of the Igbos (whom he likened to dogs with their tails between their legs) to engage in dialogue that precipitated the war.

Obasanjo dug out a live demonic bust from his chest out and killed it while he watch it lying lifeless on the ground on a greened grass but now deadened to brown as a result of the connection with lying fallow Obasanjo’s demon. The one who stand to claim Awolowo’s fountain of wisdom and wrongly pose in the air of accomplishment with eyes widen and mouth slackly saying: I fought the war, in part, for resource control. Whatever that means, others have made other representations.

The naked question is left alone in the alfresco, engross with cold without clothes and yet the formidable southern winds blew the lopsided shelter away to who is telling the piecing truth from a natural point of view, and in the case of Biafra; to you the reader, is there such a thing as a neutral point of view?

Well, you are only allow to chew this,

if you know it to digests it into feces

and easily defecate it with no shining

of eyes or groaning alas flush it into

the open soakaway that is channeled

to Aso Villa for the President and the

people in his cabinets smell its unpleasantness and react over it.

The People Began Thinking Ablank

The People Began Thinking Ablank It is usually the face-me-I-slap you tenement where I better pass my neighbour smoke belching electricity generators whine away in high decibels and compete for space with kitchen cupboards, fowls and goats. Apartment rats here do not respect territorial integrity. Twitching their you-can -do- me nothing whiskers, they dart from room to room with stamping feet, wreaking havoc on cloths, carelessly dropped Naira notes, exposed loaves of bread, biscuits, uncovered amala wanting to get down with unsexy soup  and, most disastrously, toes of sleeping tenants. Cockroaches, the eternal paratroopers with brown jackets and nauseating exoskeletons, fly from one end to the other as if on war reconnaissance. Worse still, toilets and bathrooms are used on first come and first served basis. In such environment, short fuse is ever on display and trouble or mayhem is sparked at the drop of a hat.
Ironically, it is possible to know whose mother’s stew smells best or wh…

Facebook forced to apologise for censoring burn victim's birthday photo

Former fireman lost his ears, hair, and eyebrows in an explosion in the Swedish city of Gothenburg 35 years ago

Facebook has had to apologise for removing a photograph of a formerfirefighterwith severe burn scars.
The social media site twice took down a picture of Lasse Gustavson after his friend Bjorn Lindeblad posted the photograph on Sunday to celebrate his 60th birthday.  The company only restored the image when more than 10,000 people shared a third post by Mr Lindeblad, criticising their “disgusting policy”. The post now has more than 30,000 shares.  READ  “It’s an offensive system Facebook has with this kind of censorship. You could call it a kind of racism,” said Mr Gustavson, who has no ears, hair or eyebrows, in an interview with Sweden’s Aftonbladet newspaper. Mr Gustavson was injured in an explosion at an oil depot in Gothenburg in 1981, when he was a 24-year-old firefighter. He spent two months in a coma in hospital and woke up permanently disfigured.  Since then, he has b…
